The Hub a co-working space and conference room, Limassol, Cyprus.
We recently completed THE HUB — a one-of-a-kind conference and coworking space in Limassol, Cyprus, designed by our architecture studio to host IT events, professional meetups, and collaborative work.
This was far from a typical assignment. Our goal was to transform a standard floor within a concrete frame building into a vibrant, flexible hub — a place of energy and exchange for the tech community. The resulting layout combines an amphitheater connected to a terrace, cozy tiered booths, informal seating, and a bar with a clear view of the stage — all while preserving the stunning sea panorama and prioritizing comfort and adaptability.
The main challenge of the project was the structural columns, particularly those located at the center of the hall. We embraced them as part of the architectural concept, positioning the booths so the columns wouldn’t obstruct the stage or sightlines. By integrating a 400 mm raised section of the terrace into the interior, we created tiered levels that give the space a natural slope — improving visibility and enhancing the audience experience.
The booths, finished in wood on the outside and lined with soft fabrics in warm ochre-orange tones on the inside, became a defining element of the project. Resembling nests in a shared canopy, each booth is equipped with power outlets, screens, and comfortable seating. In the rear section, high-top work areas easily transform the venue into a coworking space when events aren’t taking place.
At the center of the room, a soft, informal zone with poufs, beanbags, and low tables encourages relaxed interaction. Wrapping around columns and extending across the ceiling, light lines inspired by nature evoke digital vines — a subtle tribute to the tech world.
The stage is also designed as a booth: a welcoming space with soft seating where speakers can present or lead conversations in a casual setting. Behind it, a service area includes a kitchen, back office, and restrooms. The main hall can also be divided into three independent rooms using sound-insulated partitions.
THE HUB is more than just a conference venue. It’s architecture as a service — and as a space for inspiration.
