Cosmetology And Podiatry Clinic Design
Cosmetology And Podiatry Clinic Design
The interior design of this private podiatry and cosmetology clinic in Saint Petersburg is a turnkey project where architecture, planning, and interior define the identity of modern expert healthcare. The layout is built around intuitive navigation, efficient workflows, and patient comfort, while the design highlights high service standards. Clear zoning, well-planned ergonomics, and distinctive interior accents strengthen the clinic’s brand and ensure comfortable daily practice for doctors.
Layout and Zoning
The layout is based on radial accessibility. Angled walls in the hall open up entrances to the rooms, simplifying logistics and making navigation intuitive. The reception desk occupies a central position, providing visual control over the entire clinic.
Natural light is maximized wherever possible. All seven treatment rooms are located along the building’s exterior perimeter with windows — essential for medical work requiring high-quality lighting and for creating a welcoming atmosphere.
The space is divided into functional blocks:
- Central hall (No.17): A spacious 49.5–49.9 m² area with a central reception desk serving as the main circulation hub.
- Treatment block (No.13, 14, 15): Podiatry (15.7 m²) and cosmetology rooms (12.6–13.2 m²) positioned by the windows for natural daylight.
- Specialized rooms (No.1, 2, 3, 4): Pediatrics, massage, surgery, and ultrasound, ranging from 12.0 to 16.0 m².
- Physical therapy room (No.9): A 15.2 m² space for therapeutic exercise.
Service and sanitary facilities:
- Utility block (No.16): A 4.1 m² room housing a washing machine, built-in ironing board, and a dedicated medical waste freezer (in accordance with sanitary regulations).
- Sterilization / CSSD (No.5): A 5.0 m² instrument processing room conveniently accessible from all treatment rooms.
- Separate restrooms: For staff (2.2 m²), adults (2.0 m²), and children (1.4 m²).
Ergonomics of Treatment Rooms
Equipment placement ensures doctors have full access to patients from all sides, while storage cabinets are integrated into the walls to save space.
Interior Design
The interior is executed in a contemporary style, where medical precision and sterility are emphasized through light and color.
- Color. A combination of pure white, turquoise-blue tones, and accent purple (furniture).
- Lighting. Linear LED strips on ceilings and furniture function both as illumination and wayfinding lines guiding patients to treatment rooms. Recessed spotlights provide even ambient lighting. Backlit niches and display cases highlight professional cosmetics and instruments, integrating them into the overall design.
- Furniture. The waiting area features iconic purple Egg Chairs. They are not only stylish and comfortable but also create a private cocoon for patients. A solid reception desk with rounded corners and integrated lighting anchors the space. White furniture defines the treatment rooms, while purple pedicure chairs emphasize the work areas.
